Nova Uniao Veteran Leo Santos Wins the Ultimate Fighter Brazil Season Two Finale

Marcelo Pereira and Team Marcelo Pereira would like to congratulate Leonardo Santos on his win at the UFC on Fuel TV event Saturday night. He fought and submitted William Macario in the Ultimate Fighter Brazil Season Two finale.

Marcelo Pereira has been very close with Leo since they both started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu over 25 years ago. They have both been through a lot together and this win is a dream come true for Santos, as he no doubt will be rewarded a contract with the UFC, the largest and most popular mixed martial arts promotion in the world.

Marcelo says he owes a lot to Leonardo, and credits him with encouraging him to stick with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu after a car accident which caused him to consider quitting the sport altogether.

Congratulations Leo!

Hard Training Tonight!

Everyone rolled hard tonight and gave our soon to be departing teammates some challenging Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training in preparation for the upcoming 2012 Masters and Seniors World Championship in Long Beach, California.

Marcelo Pereira has also been working very hard on his training and feels just about fight-ready.  He’s very happy to have made weight two weeks before the tournament.

There was some great sparring tonight.  There’s a lot of good energy in this camp.  Everyone is having fun and training very hard.  Can’t ask for more than that.
